After crossing the Slovakian border in Somoskőújfalu and driving 13 km-s North we reach the city of Fülek (Fil’akovo). The walls of the castle built on a 65m high volcanic hills can even be seen before arriving to the centre, even from quite a distance. The castle has given scenery to many bloody sieges during history, now its south-west bastion hosts the Castle Museum of Fülek.
